About the Firm
Formed in January 1989, the Princeton Economics Group provides economic research, data analysis, and expert testimony to law firms and corporations involved in antitrust cases and other types of commercial litigation. The firm has substantial experience evaluating economic issues pertaining to liability and damages in cases involving monopoly, restraint of trade, mergers and acquisitions, price fixing, price discrimination, class certification, European competition law, and breach of contract.
Members of the firm have advanced training in economics with special expertise in microeconomics, industrial organization, econometrics, and antitrust. Three of the firm's Senior Economists previously served as in-house economists for the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. The fourth Senior Economist previously taught at Yale University before joining PEG. These Senior Economists have published articles in academic journals and have appeared in federal court and before government agencies in the United States and Canada. The firm has also been retained by the United States Department of Justice to analyze the likely competitive impact of proposed business combinations.
The Princeton Economics Group also works closely with leading academic economists who rely on the firm for a full range of research and analytical services. These services mirror the services that the firm provides directly to counsel and include data and other economic analyses, document review and summary, and preparation of materials for expert reports and trial testimony.
