Daniel Savas is a Research Associate with the firm. He received his B.A. in Economics and his B.S. minor in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. He was a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society and was also elected Phi Beta Kappa.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Savas worked as both a consultant and software technician in the IT Services Department at UNC. Mr. Savas wrote papers at UNC dealing with the U.S. trade deficit and the forecasting efficiency of certain U.S. leading economic indicators. He served as the webmaster and IT chair for the Phi Sigma Pi Honors and Service Fraternity and learned to write intermediate-level JAVA programs.

Mr. Savas possesses a musical background consisting of classical and jazz training. He began to learn music at the age of five and has since learned to play the piano, the trumpet, and the guitar. He participated in school bands, jazz bands, and honors bands throughout middle school and recently took classes from the UNC Music Department on music theory and jazz improvisation techniques.
